pressure cooker

ok i had my first mini freak out last night when i realized how many of my family members were coming to cheer me on on sunday. my brothers and dad weren't able to make it, so i thought the number would be small, just my mom. but then a good number of my cousins and a couple of my aunts will be there too. which somehow turned the pressure waaaay up.

which is totally ridiculous. i'll be fine out there. i'll be fine....

don't think about it that way. it is great that you have a lot of supporters there for you, but the race is about you and the road ahead of you. those two things are all that matter. don't let anything get in the way of that.

You won't be fine. You're going to be awesome. In fact, I would have loved to cheer you on... but it's a bit of a hike ;-) I cannot wait to hear about your race!

And while you're running, don't forget to remind yourself that you're running a marathon. A MARATHON! That's such a huge accomplishment.

It will be a THRILL to run this race (I was pumped every time I thought about what I was doing during the half... so the full race will be ast least doubly awesome for you). And to have so many fans cheering you on... I don't think it gets better. You go, girl!
