trying to keep pace

woke up late. MH was already at the gym. today, i'm the wimp.

i was only able to eke out 2.5 miles in a half hour. which sort of takes care of the easy run planned for today. as for the speed workout i missed yesterday, i'm hoping to make that up tonight. before yoga.

tomorrow will most likely hurt. just in time for spinning.

You sound like you've been hitting it pretty hard -- between the runs, the abs, yoga, etc.!

I'm thinking about getting into a spinning class in the winter (since I neglect the cycling leg of triathlon for the whole cold season). May I ask: how does it affect your running? I guess I'm just curious about whether spinning gives more of a quad or hamstring workout.

I've heard it's pretty intense all over, but I wanted to know your opinion/experience.

And I was looking at the bottom of my left shoe today and noticed how much more worn down the toe and outside heel are than anywhere else. Down to the bone! I think I run long distance like some people skip over hot sand...

The saddest part is that I'm just about ready for a new pair of running shoes and the tread on my left shoe is all but brand new except in the those two spots. I need a gimpy camp now!
