while i went to bed ridiculously early last night, america forgot to vote for melinda doolittle on idol. seriously, people. what were you thinking?
probably that she's a nearly flawless singer and didn't need your votes.
vote for blake next week or read a tirade of how jordin sparks makes me want to hurl things at my tv. namely vomit.

I don't watch Idol. Probably the only person in America. So I am not responsible.

Meh...I can't lie. Melinda bores me to tears. Yes...she's very talented and incredibly consistent. But I never felt like we saw anything "new" from her. Ya know? I never had that jaw-dropping "Whoa" moment from her like I did with Blake (Bon Jovi night anyone?!). Plus...I don't think I'd buy an album from her and I think, for the most part, she caters to an older generation (that is not, however, a slam on her talent at all). I'd buy Blakes in a heartbeat...maybe a single from Jordin depending on the genre she'd persue.
I'm all for Blake. I think Jordin will fall into the Dianna DeGarmo syndrome from season 2...young and talented, but there's nothing truly unique about her...so she sort of falls into a hole.
Just my two cents.
I figure Melinda will probably get a better job anyway - seemed like her voice was way out of Idol league.

I will be vomiting along with you if jordin wins! she's cute and she's definitely more talented than i am, and that makes her so "typical". I was very very sad about Melinda. I actually sat straight up on the couch when ryan said her name. But i didn't vote either so I only have myself to blame.
So, now I'm on the Blake circuit and will definitely remember to VOTE!
I am happy to see Melinda go - like Running Jayhawk, she was just consistently a good singer, but nothing that ever excited me. Jess, I'm not sure how you survive without Idol.
I normally don't vote - but I did vote for Blake on Tuesday while watching the Dancing with the Stars results show. And, I definitely like him better.
Jordin lost me weeks ago when they did the interview and asked the Idols to give America a strange fact about them and Jordin said "I like professional football." Really, that seems ironic, considering your father is a pro-football player.
I don't want to sound too much like Simon but I think Jordan will win. It's a coin toss now. Melinda will probably sell more records/CD's than both Blake and Jordan combined.
I do watch the show but I have never voted so I guess you can't blame me for any outcomes here.
