anyone got some prozac?

i hate that i turn into a bitchy monster once a month, but i can't help it. my hormones are a force stronger than anything on earth. even drugs. even alcohol. but that doesn't mean i won't try to calm my inner beast with a few glasses of wine.

after my 16 miles on saturday, i had to work 9 hours at a wedding, and another 8 hours the next morning. monday after work i was pooped and it's taken me until today to feel half normal. i'm counting my overtime at the hotel as cross training and getting a recovery run in tomorrow.

but right now, i'm self medicating with chocolate and wine.

at least you can blame the hormones. I'm apparently just nuts.

enjoy the self-medicating...

Since I am an emotional person to begin with, you can only imagine how emotional I can be during that time of the month! I can cry at the drop of a hat!

Hormones are a bitch!

Girl, I used to work those sorts of shifts. That was before my runner days, though. I don't know how you do it.

Chocolate and wine. Just what the doctor ordered! I feel your pain!

I would be dead too -- that's a lot of time on your feet! I bet your poor little legs were exhausted. Enjoy the chocolate and wine and rest up!

I'd have to skip the wine, to much head pain to follow, even after only one glass.

As for the hormones, i switched pills to help with that, so i only have the cycle 4 times a year, so feasibly, I should only be psycho Jenny/Mom 4 times a yr; instead of 12 times a yr. not that it doesn't creep in mid cycle now & then, but its caused by others!

So, I'll let you knwo how this works out for me. . . . .4 times a year. so far, so good!

I will eat chocolate & I will always use the excues, i need the caffine for 'headaches' ;o)

Mmmm, chocolate and wine. That's probably the best therapy you can find.

You're an all-star at training and push yourself to ends I can't imagine. So, take care of yourself and get some rest. And, you know, some chocolate and wine too!

All the best on your resting, recovering, training... and searching. You're more than welcomed to the Nike+ set. Just let me know. I think it deserves a good marathon ;-)

Ugh, I can't believe you had to be on your feet so much after running! I couldn't do it. Drink away, you deserve it. I'm hitting the chocolate ice cream hard tonight after my run.

you might also want to try beer and greasy food...that always works for me!

Feel better!

You can't beat wine for calming that beast. Well, I guess prozac would help.

Now that's my kind of medication!!!! :) The beast is quickly approaching over here, I believe I'll need a date with my two favorite men--Ben & Jerry. Oh, and Mike of course, too.
